Security Alarms and Patrol Services – FAQs
- How long will it take for the Security Response Teamto arrive after being dispatched?
That depends on traffic and weather conditions. Unlike other security companies in NYC, we always endeavor our patrol services to make UL Response times of 45 minutes or less.
- Where are the certified agents responding from?
During our shifts our alarm response vehicles are spread out to cover the security patrol areas assigned to every New York Response Agent, and they respond from there.
- What are your hours?
We respond to security alarms Monday – Friday 6:00 pm -6:30 am and 24 hours a day on weekends and holidays.
- Do you need keys?
Using key service for your premises, our guard NYC response team can fully investigate to determine the cause of your fire alarm or security alarm and properly secure your premise.
- How do I know you were there when dispatched?
We leave a Verified Punch Report to keep tabs on our every Response Agent in New York, and all of our response vehicles are equipped with GPS Tracking.
- How many responses do we get for our monthly charge?
12 alarm responses per location per year.
- Are we billed for overruns?
We will work with the alarm provider to avoid chronic alarm dispatches; we reserve the ability to charge for overruns only if we can’t resolve the chronic condition.
- What do you do if you find a break-in?
We will get the Police to respond and stay for one hour from the time of arrival at no additional charge. We charge for each hour after the first and must have a subscriber arrive in a reasonable time to relieve us.
- Is the security response team?
Many are response agents, while others are in the long process of getting their carry permits from the NYPD. We employ only the most experienced members for each security response team to ensure a qualified response agent is available to assist you.
- Can your service avoid false alarmpenalties?
Absolutely. Dispatch NY ALARM Response and we will notify the Police only when necessary.
